AHH WHY AM I STILL NOT IN THE CITY FOR THIS AHH

I made the wallpaper. Feel free to use it if you’d like. Just no removing the signature, of course. I worked mighty hard to make it not all very entirely sort of kind of less conspicuous!

Anyone care for a free digital comic?

I was given an extra Dark Horse redemption code at Newbury Comics. I already redeemed my issue, so if anyone out there would like a free digital issue of B.P.R.D. Casualities, be the first to respond to this post! The code expires July 31, 2011.

The comic appears to be an exclusive digital-only oneshot in the veins of Hellboy as promotion for Dark Horse’s digital retail site.

DON’T MISS!: FREE ARTThe fact that Central Park will soon be home to a dozen animal heads each weighing up to half a ton isn’t nearly as shocking as what’s happening to outspoken Chinese artist Ai Weiwei, who created the sculpture work “Circle of Animals/Zodiac Heads.”“Basically, he’s been held and detained by the Chinese government and it’s a very scary thing,” says Larry Warsh, Weiwei’s friend and founder of AW Asia, the arts group presenting the exhibit, along with the city. “I think it’s very important people see his work and know what he stands for.”The renowned artist, who also designed the Beijing Olympics “bird’s nest” stadium, is a free-speech and human-rights activist. His bronze zodiac busts go on display Monday at the Pulitzer Fountain at Fifth Avenue and 59th Street.Ai, who lived in New York in the 1980s, had been planning to be here for the exhibit, but has not been heard from since earlier this month. “We light a candle for him every day,” says Warsh.
